The Prom Grand March Meeting will be held on Thursday, May 17th at 2:15pm in the auditorium. This is a mandatory meeting for anyone attending prom whether you will be at the Grand March or not. At least one person from each couple going to prom must attend this meeting. If you have any questions, see Mrs. Gay or Miss Yunker.
North High School Graduation will be Saturday, June 9, 2012 at 2pm in the field house. Doors open at 12:45pm. You can bring as many friends and family members as you want, however, there is no reserved seating, so come early! There are a limited amount of handicap/wheelchair seating areas available. Seniors….remember you need to have all your financial obligations taken care of before graduation or you will not receive your diploma. There will be no fees collected the day of graduation.

Attention Juniors and Seniors! PROM is fast approaching! Here is the information you have been waiting for.
Prom will be held May 19th at the Marcus Center for Performing Arts in Milwaukee. Prom is open to all Juniors and Seniors. Tickets will be on sale this Tuesday through Friday (May 1st – 4th) before school in the atrium and during both lunch hours on Thursday. Tickets are $110 per couple or $55 per person. Price includes hall rental for the Grand March and Prom, parking, full buffet dinner with three entrees, tax, tip, and DJ.
In order to buy your tickets, you must have the following:
~Ticket Order form completed with all couples printed neatly on the form. You may have up to 5 couples per table.
~$110 per couple – checks made out to Waukesha North H.S. with Prom written in the memo section.
~Guest pass filled out, signed with the school seal for all non-North students. There will be no guests allowed who have graduated before the class of 2011.
~Forms found on in the Assistant Principals’ office, and on North’s website: www.waukeshanorth.org
~ We will have a map of the tables and on a first-come, first-served basis; you may choose where you want to be seated IF you have a full table.
~Grand March will be held in the ballroom of the Campus Center (top floor) on the Carroll University campus.
Students should arrive at 4:30 and Grand March will begin at 5:00 and conclude with the presentation of Court and the crowning of King and Queen. All guests will pay $1 per person to attend.
~Grand March meeting is Thursday, May 17th at 2:00 in the Auditorium. At least one person from each couple must be present at this meeting in order to be in the Grand March. Prom tickets, free parking tickets and prom information sheets will be given out at the conclusion of this meeting. Please be on time. Latecomers will not be allowed.
Tickets will be sold before school at 6:45 Tuesday through Friday this week and during all lunch hours on Thursday only. Please make sure you have everything ready when you purchase your tickets. Senior Student athletes who would like to receive a plaque from the WNHS Booster Club commemorating and recognizing your participation in WIAA sports for Waukesha North Athletics over your past 4 years you must fill out this form and return it to the Athletic Office on or before Thursday May 17, 2012 to receive a plaque. The plaques then can be picked up in the Athletic office on Monday June 4, 2012.
Dear 10th Grade Families and Students,
I just wanted to provide an update regarding WKCE testing that 10th grade students took this past November. At this time, all results were picked up at the Mach parent-teacher conferences or mailed home.
I am pleased to report that we had many students who earned a potential 2nd semester exam exemption(s). Sophomore students who achieved proficient or advanced in Math, Social Studies, Science, Language Arts (English) on the WKCE will be eligible to be exempt from the second semester exam for that subject area if the following condition is met:
Criteria
To qualify for an exemption in any class during a particular semester, the student must be earning a semester grade on May 25, 2012 of a C or better in class of exam exemption.
Potential Sophomore Exam Exemptions
1. Language Arts (English): English 10 or AP Prep English 10
2. Mathematics: Honors Geometry, Geometry, or Honors Algebra II
3. Science: Biology or Chemistry
4. Social Studies: World History or AP World
Exam Exemptions
Students will be required to submit an exam exemption to their appropriate teacher (see below) starting on May 25th but before June 1st.
